§ 10-1. Definitions.

(a)

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Building official means that employee or individual appointed by the parish commission to serve as the building official for the parish and to serve as building codes enforcement officer for the parish outside of any incorporated area of the parish.

(b)

Wherever the term "municipality" is used within the technical codes which are adopted by reference in this chapter, it shall be held to mean the Parish of Caddo, Louisiana.

(c)

Wherever the term "chief appointing authority" is used within the technical codes which are adopted by reference in this chapter, it shall be held to mean the parish administrator of Caddo Parish, Louisiana.
