§ 40-8. Throwing debris in drainage ditches.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to fill up or throw any debris of any kind into the drainage ditches established for the drainage of the public roads of this parish or to in any way interfere with said ditches in such a manner as to change their course, to obstruct their flow or to in any manner render them less effective in carrying off the water from the rights-of-way of the public roads of the parish.

(b)

Any violation of this section may be tried in a justice of the peace court.
