§ 42-21. Intent and policy.

The parish solid waste collection sites are intended for the use of parish residents to dispose of household garbage and trash. The separation of items for recycling is encouraged at each site by having containers for acceptable recyclable goods. White goods will be accepted to be removed to a recycling facility. Only household waste that can be disposed in the Shreveport landfill and recycled material accepted at the Shreveport recycling center will be accepted. No individual may dispose of more than 180 gallons of household waste per trip. There is no limit on the recyclable goods that may be deposited per trip.
