§ 44-1. Per diem for waterworks and sewerage district board members.

(a)

The various waterworks and sewerage districts located within the parish are authorized to pay per diem to members of their boards of supervisors in amounts not greater than the maximum authorized by state law or those being paid by the various waterworks and sewerage districts on February 1, 2006, whichever is less.

(b)

No waterworks or sewerage district shall increase the per diem paid to members of their boards of supervisors without prior approval of the parish commission.
