§ 44-67. Boundaries.

  • Caddo Parish Fire District Number Two shall consist of the area within the following described boundaries:

    (1)

    Begin at the northeast corner of section 13, township 18 north, range 15 west; thence south along the east section line of sections 13 and 24, township 18 north, range 15 west, to the southwest property line of KCS Railroad (Shreveport city limits); thence southeast along the southwest property line of KCS Railroad (Shreveport city limits) to the 172-foot contour line of Cross Lake (Shreveport city limits); thence westerly along the 172-foot contour line (Shreveport city limits) to the west section line of section 27, township 18 north, range 15 west; thence north along the west section line of sections 27 and 22, township 18 north, range 15 west, to the northwest corner of section 22, township 18 north, range 15 west; thence east along the north section line of sections 22 and 23 to the northeast corner of section 23, township 18 north, range 15 west; thence north along the west section line of section 13, township 18 north, range 15 west, to the northwest corner of section 13, township 18 north, range 15 west; thence east along the north line of section 13, township 18 north, range 15 west, to the northeast corner of said section and point of beginning.

    (2)

    Wells Island Road Area:

    Beginning at the intersection of the Caddo-Bossier Parish line and a line drawn at right angles to the southerly bank of Red River from the intersection of said southerly bank with the west line of lot 7, section 13, township 18 north, range 14 west; run thence southerly to the said point of intersection of said southerly bank of Red River and westerly line of said lot 7; continue in a southerly direction, a northwesterly direction, a northerly direction, and a westerly direction along the city limits of Shreveport to a point on the southeast corner of Lot No. 9 of Malott Subdivision, in accordance with map of book 450, page 563, of records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana; thence south 66 degrees 39 minutes 0 seconds west 603.2 feet to the easterly right-of-way line of the T. S. & N. Branch of the T & P Railway; run thence northerly along the easterly right-of-way line of said T. S. & N. Branch to a point where a line extended at right angle to said right-of-way line and projected across the said railway right-of-way and across Wells Island Road, would intersect the point of intersection of the westerly right-of-way line of said Wells Island Road and the eastern right-of-way line of Grimmet Drive or Old U.S. Highway No. 71; run thence northerly along the westerly right-of-way of the Wells Island Road to its intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of the Texas & Pacific Railroad; run thence in a northerly direction along the westerly right-of-way line of the T & P Railway to its intersection with the southern right-of-way line of the Arkansas Line Road; run thence southwesterly along the right-of-way of said road 140 feet; run thence northwesterly across the Arkansas Line Road and along the easterly property line of Charles P. Cush, and an extension thereof to the north bank of Twelve Mile Bayou; run thence southwesterly 170 feet to the easterly right-of-way line of the Old Mooringsport Road; run thence in a northerly direction along the easterly and northeasterly right-of-way of the Old Mooringsport Road to the south section line of section 11, township 18 north, range 14 west; run thence in an easterly direction along said section line to the Caddo-Bossier Parish line; run thence in southerly and easterly direction along said parish line to the point of beginning.

    Agurs:

    A tract of land out of sections 14, 23, 25, and 26, township 18 north, range 14 west de-scribed as beginning at a point on the southeasterly line of Hearne Avenue Extension, said point being the intersection of the southeasterly line of Hearne Avenue Extension and the centerline of Twelve Mile Bayou; run thence northeasterly along the said southeasterly line of Hearne Avenue Extension to an intersection with the said east line of the west half of the west half of said section 23; run thence northerly along the east line of the east half of the west half of said section 23, to an intersection with the north line of Catahoula Road in accordance with plat of Warfield Place, as filed in records of the Caddo Parish, Louisiana, book 250, page 38; thence easterly along the north line of said road to the east side of closed and abandoned Northway Boulevard; run thence northerly along the east side of closed and abandoned Northway Boulevard to a point located a distance of 348.34 feet south of the intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of North Market Street; run thence north 50 degrees 20 minutes east a distance of 48.11 feet to the most westerly corner of the Mobil Service Station property; run thence south 40 degrees 15 minutes east a distance of 225.00 feet to the northwesterly right-of-way line of the North Hearne Avenue; run thence north 49 degrees 35 minutes 30 seconds east along the said northwesterly right-of-way line of the North Hearne Avenue to the intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of the North Market Street; run thence in a northwesterly direction along the said North Market Street to the intersection with the said east side of the closed and abandoned Northway Boulevard; run thence across the said Louisiana State Highway No. 1 to a point on the easterly right-of-way line of said highway, said point being 795.42 feet measured along the said easterly right-of-way line from the southwest corner of block A, North Shreveport Business Center No. 1 Subdivision, as per map filed and recorded in book 900, page 245, conveyance records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana; run thence north 49 degrees 40 minutes 15 seconds east a distance of 224.6 feet to a point and corner; run thence north 41 degrees 49 minutes 25 seconds west a distance of 100 feet to a point and corner; run thence south 49 degrees 40 minutes 47 seconds west a distance a distance of 221.99 feet to a point on the said easterly right-of-way line of Louisiana State Highway No. 1; run thence northwesterly along the said easterly right-of-way line of Louisiana State Highway No. 1 to an intersection with the southerly line of Barton Drive, as shown on plat of North Shreveport Business Center District No. 1, in accordance with plat filed in book 900, pages 243 and 245, records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana; run thence easterly and northerly along right-of-way line of Barton Drive to the northeast corner of Block Q, North Shreveport Business Center No. 1; thence run southeasterly along the northeasterly line of Block Q a distance of 200 feet, more or less; run thence northeasterly and across the T & P Railway right-of-way a distance of 370 feet to the southwest corner of lot 61, Factory Site Subdivision; run thence northwesterly along the easterly right-of-way line of the T & P Railway to the point of intersection with the southwest corner of lot 68 of the said Factory Site Subdivision; run thence in an easterly direction along the south line of lot 68, and along an extension thereof, and along the south line of lot 30 of the Factory Site Subdivision a distance of 311.1 feet to the point of intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of the Grimmet Drive and the present city limits line as it existed in 1959; run thence along the westerly right-of-way line of said Grimmet Drive in a southerly direction to a point along the north line of lot 40 of Factory Site Subdivision, said point being 195 feet easterly from the west side of Ray Street; run thence along the north line of said lot 40 and along the extension of said line to the west line of said Ray Street; run thence along the north line of lot 58 of Factory Site Subdivision along the extension of said line to the west right-of-way line of the T. S. & N. Branch of the T & P Railway; run thence southerly along said west line of said right-of-way to a point 461.0 feet northwesterly from an intersection with the east line of North Market Street; run thence southwesterly a distance of 229.16 feet to a point on the easterly right-of-way line of North Market Street; run thence southeasterly along the said easterly line of North Market Street to a point lying 265 feet from the centerline of North Hearne Avenue; run thence southwesterly across North Market Street to a point, said point being 225 feet northwesterly from the northwesterly corner of North Market Street and North Hearne Avenue; run thence southwesterly along a line 225 feet northwesterly from and parallel with the northwesterly right-of-way line of Hearne Avenue Extension a distance of 175 feet; run thence southeasterly along a line 175 feet southwesterly from and parallel with the southwesterly right-of-way line of North Market Street a distance of 225 feet; run thence southeasterly to a point lying along the southeasterly right-of-way line of Hearne Avenue Extension, said point being 220 feet southwesterly from the southwest corner of North Hearne Avenue and Market Street; run thence south 40 degrees 15 minutes 00 seconds east a distance of 182.9 feet; run thence north 49 degrees 35 minutes 30 seconds east a distance of 220.00 feet to the intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of the North Market Street (La. Hwy. 1 & U.S. Hwy. 71); run thence southeasterly along the said southwesterly right-of-way line of the North Market Street (La. Hwy. 1 & U.S. Hwy. 71) to the point of intersection with the northerly line of lot 149 of Tacony subdivision, as per the map filed and recorded in book 250, page 18, of the conveyance records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana; run thence southwesterly along the said northerly line of lot 149 to the northwest corner of lot 149; run thence southeasterly along the southwesterly line of said lot 149 and along the southwesterly right-of-way line of the Thomas Drive to a point. Said point being 15.0 feet north 47 degrees 40 minutes west from the northwest corner of lot 70 of said Tacony Subdivision; run thence along the arc of a curve to the left or east. Said curve having a central angle of 92 degrees 35 minutes 55 seconds, a radius of 72.42 feet, and a tangent of 75.78 feet. Run along the arc of said curve a distance of 117.05 feet. Run thence south 50 degrees 27 minutes 55 seconds east a distance of 86.0 feet to the point of curve of a curve to the right or west. Said curve having a central angle of 44 degrees 18 minutes 50 seconds, a radius of 121.39 feet, and a tangent of 49.43 feet. Run along the arc of said curve a distance of 93.89 feet; run thence south 06 degrees 09 minutes 05 seconds east a distance of 48.41 feet; run thence north 89 degrees 32 minutes 05 seconds east a distance of 191.70 feet to the westerly line of lot 80 of the said Tacony Subdivision; run thence south 47 degrees 40 minutes east along the said westerly line of lot 80 a distance of 9.5 feet to the southwest corner of lot 80; run thence along the southerly line of said lot 80 of the Tacony Subdivision to the intersection with the said southwesterly right-of-way line of the North Market Street (La. Hwy. 1 & U.S. Hwy. 71); run thence southeasterly along the southwesterly line of the North Market Street to the intersection with the east line of section 23 township 18 north, range 14 west; run thence south along the east line of said section 23 to an intersection with the north line of Aero Drive; run thence west along the said north line of Aero Drive to a point opposite the northwest corner of the east 60 feet of lot 123 of Henderson-Davis Subdivision, as per map in book 150, page 183, conveyance records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana; run thence south across Aero Drive to the said northwest corner of the east 60 feet of lot 123; run thence south parallel to and 60 feet west of the east line of said lot 123 to the north line of lot 116 of said Henderson-Davis Subdivision; run thence west along the said north line of lot 116 and the north line of lot 115 to the east line of lot 1 of Aero Annex, as per map in book 650, page 163; run thence north along the said east line of lot 1 of the Aero Annex Subdivision and along the west line of lot 124 of the said Henderson-Davis Subdivision, and along an extension of the west said line of lot 124, a distance of 269.37 feet to a point on the north right-of-way line of the Aero Drive in the south half of the southeast quarter of section 23, township 18 north, range 14 west; run thence in a westerly direction along the said north line of the 60.00-, 70.00- and 80.00-foot wide Aero Drive in the south half of the southeast quarter of section 23 to its intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of the 100-foot-wide Texas and Pacific Railroad; run thence in a southeasterly direction along the southwesterly right-of-way line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad to its intersection with the west line of the east half of the east quarter of said section 26 township 18 north, range 14 west; run thence in a southerly direction along the said west line of the east half of the east half of section 26 to the present city limits line and to a point 100 feet north of the north or left descending bank of Cross Bayou; thence westerly along a line 100 feet north of and parallel with the north or left descending bank of Cross Bayou and following the north prong of branch of said Cross Bayou to its intersection with the centerline of Bauman chute extended; run thence southwesterly along the said extension of centerline of Bauman chute and the centerline of Bauman chute to an intersection with the centerline of twelve Mile Bayou; run thence northwesterly along the said centerline of Twelve Mile Bayou to the point of beginning and containing approximately 430.97 acres.

    Lake Forest Hills:

    That area lying between the 172.0-foot contour of Cross Lake and line beginning at the northwest corner of lot 2 of McAvoy Subdivision and running thence along the southwesterly boundary line of said lots 2 and 1 and portion of lot 9 of Bethel Hill Subdivision 256.5 feet and southeasterly therefrom; thence southerly along the real line of lots 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 and 1 of Bethel Hill Subdivision, an extension of said line to the centerline of Sunset Drive; thence along the center of said Sunset Drive, the section line between sections 33 township 18 north, range 14 west and section 4 township 17 north, range 14 west to a point 983 feet west of the northeast corner of said section 4; run thence southerly along a line parallel with and 150.0 feet westerly from the west boundary line of Glen Avenue, as shown on the Heilperin Park Subdivision, as recorded in book 600, page 359, records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana, a distance of 1,140.8 feet; thence westerly 60 feet; thence southerly and parallel with the west boundary line of Glen Avenue, as per said Heilperin Park Subdivision 113.2 feet to the northwest corner of lot 20 of Lake Forest Addition Unit No. 3, in accordance with map of book 650, page 73; run westerly or southwesterly along the rear of lots 7 through 3, both inclusive of Lake Forest Addition, Unit No. 2, to the northwest corner of said lot 31 of said addition; run thence northwesterly along a pipe line right-of-way and the easterly line of lot 2 of said addition to the 172-foot contour line of Cross Lake; run thence in a northerly and easterly direction along the said 172-foot contour line of Cross Lake to the point of beginning at the northwest corner of lot 2 of the McAvoy Subdivision.
