§ 48-251. Appeals from decisions of parish director of public works.

  • Decisions of the parish director of public works regarding applications for waivers or variations in requirements of this article or of the Unified Development Code for design and construction of streets in the planning area may be appealed by the applicant or any interested party to the parish commission. The appeal must be filed in writing with the clerk of the commission within 15 days of the date of the director's decision. The appeal shall state the aspect of the director's decision being appealed and the basis for the appeal. The appeal shall be set for a commission meeting not less than 30 days after receipt of the appeal. The commission may overturn the director's decision, uphold the director's decision, or remand the matter to the director for further consideration.
