§ 52-114. License required.

  • (a)

    No person shall engage in the business of cleaning, pumping or otherwise servicing sewage treatment systems without first obtaining a license from the parish for each sewage treatment system service vehicle to be used in the business. A license shall be issued only after servicing equipment has been inspected and certified as satisfactory by the health unit.

    (b)

    Granting of the license shall be evidenced by a sticker furnished by the parish which shall be placed on the lower right side of each service vehicle's windshield.

    (c)

    A fee for the license shall be charged at a rate per annum per service vehicle, and shall be as established by the parish commission, from time to time. This license may be revoked or suspended if the person ceases to meet requirements for license or violates any provisions of this article.
