§ 26-189. Schedule I: no truck zones.

(a)

Following are the no truck zones as established by the parish commission and entitled Schedule I:

(b)

On streets designated as "no truck zones," it shall be unlawful for any person to operate, drive or pull a semi-tractor, semitrailer or truck with three or more axles. The term "semi-tractor" or "semitrailer" means motor vehicles designed and used primarily for driving or pulling a semi-tractor, the components of which form a multi-wheeled vehicle or which is used primarily for driving, towing, or pulling other vehicles and not so constructed as to carry a load other than a part of the weight of the vehicle and the load so drawn.

(c)

The provisions of this section shall not apply to:

(1)

Vehicles making deliveries to or picking up items from a residence located in the residence.

(2)

Emergency vehicles while on call for emergency services.

(3)

Motor homes or recreational vehicles.
