§ 40-12. Closure of subdivision streets for neighborhood parties; permits.

  • (a)

    Residents of any subdivision in the unincorporated portion of the parish may close certain portions of streets in their subdivision for the purpose of conducting neighborhood block parties upon receipt of a permit for such closing issued by the sheriff, subject to compliance with all prerequisites, conditions, limitations and requirements which may be placed upon such closure by such permit.

    (b)

    The closing of any street for such purposes without obtaining a permit therefrom from the sheriff or the failure to comply with the prerequisites, conditions, limitations and requirements applicable to the closure under the permit therefor shall be deemed a violation of this section.
